What We Test in an Ordering and Delivery Product

Menu to checkout to the kitchen to the driver, tested end to end and under lunch-hour peak load.

Menu and Catalogue

Item availability against what the kitchen actually has. A dish that looks in stock while the kitchen is out is the miss a customer reports.

Cart and Checkout

Modifiers, combinations and a final price that matches the price shown. We test the tax, the tip and a diner who already paid on a second device.

Payments and Wallets

Card, wallet and the refund that has to land. PCI is in scope when card data moves. Method is on API testing services.

Live Tracking and Maps

An estimate moving the wrong way is the most complained-about failure here. We test the stale ping, the recut and the drop on a poor network.

Driver and Kitchen Apps

Assignment, batching, the offline case, accept, prep time and the ticket that has to print. Device coverage is on mobile application testing.

Promotions and Loyalty

The discount logic that silently gives away margin. Expected values come from the table you named. Rewards method is on loyalty and rewards.

Need ordering, tracking and peak-hour coverage that matches how a lunch rush fails?

Free Flow Test

Peak-Hour Performance, Not a Home Page Spike

Two sharp daily peaks, a weekly peak and a weather spike nobody schedules. We model concurrent orders, not page views.

Lunch and Dinner

Two sharp daily peaks, modelled from last week's own order volumes. Login that stays up while assignment dies is a failed rush.

The Weekly Peak

Friday night or the day your market actually peaks. Checkout that holds while tracking dies is still a failed order.

A Weather Spike

Nobody schedules it. Assignment, batching and the ETA have to move with demand, and we test that they do.

What usually breaks first is assignment and tracking rather than checkout. Method is on performance testing.

Location, Mapping and Third-Party Integrations

What is tested is behaviour when the third party is slow rather than absent, because that is the case nobody scripts.

Maps and Address

The pin, the zone and the address the driver can actually find. A geofence that never fired is a late drop, so we test the slow map vendor.

Payments

The capture that has to land and the refund that has to reverse. Named gateways are agreed after NDA, and we do not issue a PCI certificate.

Aggregators

A partner feed that posts late or duplicates. An order that looks accepted while the kitchen never saw it is the miss.

Accessibility for Ordering Flows

An ordering flow a screen-reader user cannot complete is an order that does not happen.

Keyboard and Screen Reader

The checkout a diner has to complete, tested with keyboard and screen reader against the WCAG level you name. Method is on accessibility testing.

ADA Title III Exposure

Restaurant and delivery brands sit inside ADA exposure. Audit and documentation support is on ADA and Section 508 compliance testing.

How an Engagement Starts

From one ordering flow to coverage that keeps pace with every peak, 9am to 1pm Eastern with delivery from India.

  • 01

    Share the Platform

Tell us the surfaces in play (menu, checkout, payments, tracking, driver, kitchen, promotions), the peak calendar and staging access under NDA.

  • 02

    Get the Coverage Model

A first assessment is quoted after that look, and it can sit before a known lunch or dinner peak.

  • 03

    Start With One Flow

A free test of one ordering flow is the fastest first look. We do not copy production diner records into a test environment.

  • 04

Keep It Current, Build What's Next

The pack stays current as menus and partners change. The same team can build the store through our ecommerce solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering, delivery and restaurant operations software: menu and catalogue, cart and checkout, payments and wallets, live tracking and maps, driver and kitchen applications, and promotions and loyalty. We have not yet delivered a named food delivery platform. Adjacent retail ordering work is on ecommerce testing.

We test payment and wallet paths, access to diner records, the driver and kitchen apps and the map and aggregator integrations. PCI is in scope when card data moves, and we do not issue a PCI certificate. Attack work is scoped separately on security testing.

Yes. We model concurrent orders, not page views: two daily peaks, a weekly peak and a weather spike. Assignment and tracking usually break before checkout. We do not quote a concurrent-user number we cannot evidence. Method is on performance testing, and a free flow test is the first look.

Most engagements land at $25 to $49 an hour blended. Price follows the surfaces in play, how many apps are involved, and whether a lunch-peak load pack sits in the same week. A free test of one ordering flow shows the surface before anyone writes a quote.
