What We Test in an On-Demand Marketplace

Matching, scheduling, payments, ratings and live tracking, tested across both the customer and the provider app.

Matching

The job that has to land on the right provider, and the case two jobs claimed one person. We test the recut and the timeout.

Scheduling

Slots, time zones and the booking that has to stick. We test the conflict, the reschedule and the customer who already booked on a phone.

Payments

Capture, split and the payout that has to reach the provider. PCI is in scope when card data moves. See API testing services.

Ratings

The score that has to match the review, and the case a rating never posted. We test the delayed post and the duplicate.

Live Tracking

The pin that has to move and the ETA that should not reverse. A stale ping is the most complained-about miss.

Two Apps, Cross-Platform

Customer and provider apps on iOS and Android, tested as one journey. Device coverage is on mobile application testing.

Free Flow Test

Customer App and Provider App

A web pass on the customer app does not prove the provider app.

The Customer

Search, book, pay and track. Login that stays up while matching dies is a failed request, so we test that mix.

The Provider

Offer, accept, navigate and the payout. A job that looks offered while the provider never saw it is a late booking.

Peak Demand

What usually breaks first is matching and tracking, not checkout. We model it from your own demand window, not a round number of users.

Method is on performance testing.

Security and Payment Integrations

Identity, location and the payment split make these platforms a target.

Attack Work, Scoped Separately

Application and API attack testing runs on agreed in-scope assets, with an owner for every finding. See security testing.

Payment Split and Payout

Capture, split and payout tested end to end, including the refund. We test those controls and do not issue a PCI certificate.

Identity and Location Data

Access to customer and provider records, tested by role, without copying production customer records into a test environment.

Controls Tested, Evidence You Can Use

We test the payment and privacy controls named in your quote and hand you evidence your reviewers can read. The same testing supports your SOC 2 readiness, and Vervali holds ISO/IEC 27001.

Case Studies

Two engagements, sector and country only. They show Vervali has built and tested booking and marketplace products at that scale.

USA · live entertainment marketplace · fans, venues and performers

A Flutter mobile platform that brings fans, venues and performers together through event discovery, venue management, talent recruitment and booking, on an AWS backend. After: three user ecosystems on one platform, 100% location-based discovery through GPS and radius search, and 50% less manual venue coordination.

100% location-based discovery 50% less manual venue coordination

India · diagnostics provider · booking app and website

A rebuilt mobile app and website where patients can book tests and packages online and reach their own and their family's reports. After: page load speed up to 40% faster and user retention up 25 to 30%.

40% faster page loads retention up 25 to 30%

How an Engagement Starts

From one matching or booking flow to coverage that keeps pace with your releases, 9am to 1pm Eastern with delivery from India.

  • 01

    Share the Marketplace

Tell us the surfaces in play (matching, scheduling, payments, ratings, tracking), both apps and staging access under NDA.

  • 02

    Get the Coverage Model

A first assessment is quoted after that look: coverage, the partners in scope and the load shapes that apply.

  • 03

    Start With One Flow

A free test of one matching or booking flow is the fastest first look. We do not copy production customer records into a test environment.

  • 04

Keep It Current, Build What's Next

The pack stays current as releases change. The same team can build the customer app, the provider app and the matching through our mobile app development.

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not load a marketplace from a generic spike. What usually breaks first is matching and tracking, not login, so the profile is modelled from your own demand window. We name the bottleneck and what to change, and do not invent an uptime figure. Method is on performance testing.

Yes. Capture, split and payout are tested end to end in the functional pack. Attack work on the payment paths is scoped separately on security testing. PCI is in scope when card data moves, and we test those controls without issuing a PCI certificate.

Yes, once the paths are stable enough. Matching, booking and the payout go into a regression pack that is kept current as releases change, because a stale pack is worse than none. Rules that change often stay manual until they settle. Tooling is on test automation services.

Yes. A web pass does not prove the customer app or the provider app, so offline use, push notifications and the job on a phone are in the pack when those journeys exist. Device coverage follows your analytics. See mobile application testing.

Marketplaces where a customer and a provider have to match: bookings, home services, rides and similar products. Food delivery is covered on food tech, and retail checkout on retail and ecommerce. A free flow test shows how your product fits.

Most engagements land at $25 to $49 an hour blended. Price follows both apps, how many partners are involved, and whether a demand-peak pack sits in the same week. A free test of one matching or booking flow shows the surface before anyone writes a quote.
